I would like to recommend a book I found very helpful, You, Inc by Burke Hedges. I have an older version than what is available now, but I really enjoyed the book and still reference it from time to time.

I also liked Rich Dad, Poor Dad, I use it to help our church's youth group understand the difference between working for money and money working for you.

Another one from Canada, a bit dumbed down (so that the dumbies can understand it), is The Wealthy Barber. The title hints at what the book is about.

VERY nice. I make about 2G's a month from my job and another 2G's a month (sometimes more) from trading stocks.

I'd say if you make $100'000 + a year and manage to save at least $20k of that you are doing very well.

Hell if you manage to save $1k a month tha tis very good.

Me I have no debts. No loans no nothing. I have a CC but I pay that off every month and use it to build credit. I don't have car payments but drive a car my parents have. My education is being paid for by my parents BUT Uni in England is MUCH cheaper here as the government subsidises it. We pay £1.2k a year to Uni and accomodation fees and such we pay ourselves. Accmodation in London is about £4k a year. We get loans also.

I work also so I earn some money whilst attending Uni.

I am strigent with my money also but I do spend it when I want to. After all I do have a 23" lcd monitor :D but that works well for work and using the comp with a large screen.

I am in to saving money and want to buy a house sometime before I am 25.

18, in college and will be a junior soon. "good" college job (mom told me to never talk about finance specifics in public). I am never wanting, pay all of my bills on time and within the first third of my income. The rest I save or play with, never dropping below an ever increasing level of cash reserves (on hand + gaurenteed accounts recievable).

I'm in the black, even after the car loan bluebook-liabiility is thrown in. College is free for me (on neither my backs nor my parents) and they pay the first 3k of my housing + food expenses a semester since 3k will get you in a dorm and on the meal plan.

I'm happy.... the cigars, the fast cars, the fine brews, the carribean, the third monitor... all with most of the income in the bank... yeah... im happy

Wealthy I don't know... I'm much better off than my peers... but happy I am :beer::beer::beer::beer::beer:
