Congratulations, you are one of the lucky 10,000 gamers invited to participate in Ensemble's online multiplayer test of Age of Mythology. This alpha version of Age of Mythology will contain two of the nine civilizations that will be available when the game is released this October. Up to four players will be able to compete head-to-head as a follower of either Zeus or Poseidon on one of two multiplayer maps.

We will begin shipping the Age of Mythology alphas to all winners at the end of July. We will be sending follow-up emails with more details, so please stay tuned.

Woo-Hoo I'm in, this is the first Beta Test game I've gotten in to. I can wait to try it out.:D

Vicodin...

Wish I could play Warcraft 3....bought it, installed it, patched it, I watch it kick me out to the desktop everytime I fire it up...did everything they say at Blizzard and the forums to get it to run...NADA...will not run on either of my comps...one with Win 2000, other with XP...I'm ready to return it...and I way overpaid at $59.99 because I couldn't wait...idiot...

Update! I just received a note from Ensemble and I should be receiving the game in seven to ten days. Plus it will include all nine civilizations but still only two maps.

I hope my ATI 7500 AIW arrives before this does.

Where did you see that limitation? AOE-2 had 8 player limitation, I doubt the next game will allow only 4. Also the AOE games allowed direct TCP-IP games without the server like battle net. I hope AOM also allows that.

I was selected for the Warcraft 3 beta and then never got the damn CD and they weren't replacing them!:( Oh well.

I just got a pleasant surprise - I can't remember if I signed up for the AOM test, but I checked my mail and I've gotten selected for the Earth & Beyond beta!:)

Congratulations!

Welcome to Earth & Beyond. You?ve been selected out of thousands of applicants to participate in the public test of the first online role-playing galaxy. After a few easy steps, you?ll be in your own starship and adventuring through a living galaxy populated with thousands of players.

First things first - Download the game!

If you have a broadband connection, you can download the code all at once. It should take between one and two hours.

You?ll need 1.6 GB of space on your hard drive:Q, so make sure there?s room. Then just follow the download instructions on the download page at: <deleted>

The username and password you need to access the download site and your registration code appear below:

Your User Name to get onto the download page is: <deleted> and your REGISTRATION CODE is: <deleted> Your password to login to the download website is: <deleted>

Again, congratulations on making it through the selection process. Even though the game is still in a test phase with occasional difficulties, we think you?ll have a great time. We look forward to hearing from you about your experience, so we can keep improving the game.

Welcome to Earth & Beyond!

I've never played a MMORPG, but saw something on Extended Play last weekend about this and it looked sharp. If I like this, I may try SWG next year, but I'm loathe to spend $13/mo. and have to commit so much time to a game.

Skyclad1uhm1,
I just browse my favorite games sites & subscribe to a few newsletters. That's how I found out about AOM beta test sign up. I have signed up for about one dozen and this is the first one I received a notification for.

Hmm, sounds like a good idea :)

Do any of those companies also allow foreign Beta testers? Blizzard only wants US and Canadian ones :(

Well, I'd love to tell ya how E&B is, but after FIVE FRIGGING TRIES to DL and extract the RAR files, it's given CRC errors EVERY time. It's over 800 MB and whether I get the single file or the 10-part version, PFFT!!! It doesn't work.:| I've requested a CD to be sent, but if it's anything like the dry hump I got from the Warcraft 3 peeps, I'm ass out.

The E&B download worked fine here, I got the 800 MB one-file version, no CRC errors. Weird. Oh well, too bad I can't play now, the server's on a scheduled downtime.
