Hmm, interested, a little expensive for such an old game though even with it being updated a little. Still have my disc version (installed at that) too with the expansion.

It does include the expansion. "HD" for these old 2D games is basically just having the camera zoomed out more for higher resolutions so things aren't pixelated.

Bitchin. I haven't had much luck with AoE 2 since Windows 7. I'll be getting it for sure. Just to have on steam. I think I've got 3 disc copies hanging around. This was my favorite RTS ever.

Hell yes! I have been using the widescreen mod for AOE, but now we can do multiplayer in HD!

I have it installed on an XP VM, and agreed, just about my favorite. Although Rise of Nations is close.

Freakin sweet. I'm picking this up. Hope this means too they fixed the AOEII "Apocalypse Edition" problem. Last couple times I ran the original in Vista/7 the colors were all messed up and looked like toxic sludge everywhere.

We called them berry fields. ;)

Playing via Gameranger fixed that problem though. Now with Steam we can play on modern resolutions!

this is pretty awesome. AOEII was epic fun. Had some ridiculous online battles. Why couldn't this come out during the cold winter months instead of spring?
