"failed to initialize rendering subsystem" error pops up when i try to run the game. im running the F2P version that i downloaded and installed from their official website (~30GB download). i did a search for the error message and it doesn't look like there is a working solution.
the reply from AoC was that the video card doesn't support SM2.0 because its too old which i can understand. my card is a ati x1950pro. whats strange is that when i left it to download and install, i came back home, hit play, and was able to play just fine. i exited the game, an hour or so later, tried to play again but kept getting the error msg. another issue is the game doesn't show up in my all programs list but does in add/remove program.
since it worked before im sure my card is just fine for the game. last case scenario, i can download and install it again and see whats up, but does anyone have any other solutions.
running 8.12 catalyst drivers (vista 64bit)

since the "latest" drivers for this card are legacy drivers.
