Can anyone help me out there? I bought this game a few weeks back and have been playing it quite frequently (Level 31 Dark Templar, so far it's a very fun game to me). The box clearly shows that this is a DX10 game. From searching the net I've found that DX10 support was meant to be implemented at launch, but for whatever reason was not. Most of those posts are close to a year old, I don't see much else saying if it has been implemented or when it will be. I am running Vista 64 Ultimate with a Radeon 4870 and 8GB of memory, I should have everything I need to finally enjoy some DX10 gaming. Yet when I go into video options in game I see this when trying to enable DX10. It is still not an option for me to turn on.

Does anyone know if this is available and I have to do something on my end? I have this nice new shiney overclocked Radeon 4870 and would love to try some DX10 gaming.

Thanks for any help with this, I appreciate it.
 
I dont think AoC has released its DX10 yet...

When I quit in August (due to it being a poor game at the time), it wasnt even discussed or expected to come out.
 
I think the game looks plenty decent and plays very well (I see anywhere between 35FPS and 80FPS on my rig). But, the box says, "Enhanced for DirectX 10" and "multicore". Clearly they are lying about at least one of those things... pretty shady of them if you ask me.

You gotta understand what they mean: the AoC *Box* is enhanced for DX10
- notice the nice screenshots shadows and lighting😛

multicore is an animal, right ?... the king of which is the Larrabeast which we haven't seen yet

ANYWAY, i got to level 7 on my free trial, picked up a retail game for $10 in December and i still haven't played my 30 days yet
- it actually plays OK on 56K for the solo MP quests
