Agarwood, aka Eaglewood, aka Aloeswood

I've been giving out choice assortments of incense to family members the last few years, with the better, wood based items going to a close few. Last I gave an around the world package of Tibetan, Indian, Japanese, & Vietnamese samples that was well received. I included a tiny little box of some of the lower quality aloeswood, that really soothed the savage beast so to say. Very, very mild, with a bit of Jasmine & fresh soil is the best I could describe it. Great stuff.

Has anone here experienced the real deal, high percentage product? I payed about $30 or so for 60 two inch sticks in a display box. The mid & high end stuff starts out at around $120 for 40-50 regular sized sticks, to over a thousand dollars for the 50%+ quality mixtures.

Quite an expensive fungus infection.
I'll have to stick to sandalwood for now.
Tibetan Dhoop is dirt cheap too. 🙂
