So...Barr testifies that he does not recall if he has given information to White House officials about ongoing investigations.

That's what he's going with? "I forget"? He forgets if he is working with the White House to cover up crimes that are currently under investigation?

OK then. If the American public are fine with this kind of answer, there is nothing left to do here.

Yeah. That's nuts. There is no way he forgets that. Sheeesh.

Not only that but he doesn't even remember if the white house asked/suggested certain people to be investigated. That sends like something one would remember.

Yeah...It's one thing to not remember an event from 2 years ago but the dude's been on the job for like 2 months.

More lies from the "Administration Of Lies". It's what they've gotta do because it's what they excel at. Also, because they really really need to cover up misdeeds and lawbreaking.

Barr slipped up with that laugh...and he knows it. Twenty seconds later he’s trying to put his serious face back on.

Here's Ted Cruz doing what righties do best, straw man arguments.

No mr Cruz the issue isn't that Barr is hiding information, its that he released a preliminary memo in order to allow the white house to spin the results.

Now we also have Cruz complaining about the deep state in the FBI, you know the one controlled by a Republican. The same FBI everyone knows is full of liberal commies!

Personally, I think its a total waste of time to question Barr. It's already proven that he's a liar, and does nothing but spin. He'll just use the opportunity to spin some more. I realized that he was a useless fuck the first hearing. He's great at what he does, had everyone fooled.

I think it's very useful in the sense that you get him in a position to openly and willfully lie in Congressional testimony.

The Attorney General of the United States of America - in a nutshell - cleared the target of important investigation of wrongdoings without reviewing the evidence."

He also did that when the actual report from the investigators who looked at all the evidence reached the specific conclusion that he could not clear the target. And, the only question they allowed themselves to answer was "Was the target cleared or not?" WTF!

His logic that the President was falsely accused because the FBI refused to prosecute a sitting president (leaving that to the AG/Congress) for crimes he actively obstructed against is ... shaky.

They were fine with this exact answer, many times, from ~1985-1988. OK, only some Americans were and remain fine with this kind of answer: The treasonous ratbastard quisling types.

Do I have that right? Is it customary for law enforcement, especially the premier law enforcement agency in the land, to use circular logic when deciding to bring charges or not?

He must be a bible thumper. Folks, this is the kind of thing we abandoned during the Age of Reason. How about we not revisit this kind of nonsense.

to be fair, I imagine that any meeting with Trump is an exercise in forging through a firehose of unending lies and boasts that you pretty much grow numb to. ...not to defend this piece of shit, but in a way, I can see Barr having trouble recalling exactly which lie or which boast or which direct attempt at obstruction that Trump committed, in any single meeting, among all of the others .

So wait do I understand this correctly that Barr made a decision that Trump didn't commit obstruction of justice without reviewing the underlying evidence?

Like...what the everloving fuck.

That's what the dude said. He cited the report as his evidence and said he did not look at the underlying evidence.

Or maybe he doesn’t understand Trump’s code like Cohen did.

Yeah..that's why any lawyer with any interest in the truth and justice, takes a witness into ANY meeting with Trump.

Yep! And then he came to the conclusion that trump was exonerated because Mueller didn't make any recommendation because DOJ policy wouldn't allow for it because the subject was the president.

Earlier I head Teddy Cruz talking about Obama this, Hillary that and Obama breaking laws which went to
Attorney Barr would you agree the Presidents using Justice Department to target enemies is wrong, particularly enemies in the opposite party?
Barr: Yes...

So it’s now on record, fin the President targets a political opponent action needs to be taken immediately

Thank god, look who isn’t currently the President

These guys continually punch themselves in the nuts. Nearly guaranteed Trump will order Barr to dig up dirt on Pelosi or Biden or anyone else.

Did he really just ask the Senate judiciary committee why they should have something they asked for from him? This dude's off his rocker.
