I will be building a computer in about 2 weeks, and I have some general questions about how AM2 is coming along.

DISCLAIMER: I AM BUILDING THE SYSTEM ON SOCKET AM2 IN 3 WEEKS, NO CONROE (unless something gets in the way)

I'm just wondering how long it might be after the AM2 launch that high-end aftermarket air cooling is released. Might the companies already have AM2 motherboard mockups to design stuff for? Will a counterpart to the Zalman CNPS-9500 be available for the new Socket AM2 mounting hardware, and if so, how soon? If not, I'm assuming that I could run on the stock heatsink (using Arctic Silver 5 instead of the stock thermal pad) until an AM2-compatible high-end Zalman heatsink comes out.

Thermalright has already stated that most (if not all?) of their current heatsinks will be AM2 compatible with different mounting hardware that will be made available. I haven't heard about Zalman specifically; normally they are pretty responsive so if you ask them they will probably have a good answer for you.
