Please can someone help me.
I have a aftermarket stereo fitted in my vw golf 1.8t 2001. It's a kenwood ddx5025dab double din, it was already fitted when I bought the car looks like a professional fit. Cut a long story short I parked the car up for about 4 months obviously battery died jump it got it running, insured again no power to stereo, fuse on back of radio is fine and the one in the car. Power going there as another radio works fine. All wires from the stereo to the car look good. Can someone please help to what this could be? Much appreciated and thanks in advance.

Can you please clarify this? Specifically - where do you have power and where do you not?

Use a multimeter to confirm that 12V is really getting to its power input. The pinout for the connector should be in the manual linked at the bottom of my post.

How did you jump it? Another vehicle, an old school lead acid battery based jump starter, or one of those new fangled little generic Li-Ion jump starter packs that may put who knows how many volts into the system?

Grab a copy of the manual and look through it in case there is an anti-theft lockout, requiring you to enter a code to revive it as shown on pages 4 and 5. Also see page 3 where it reads "If the unit fails to operate properly, press the Resetbutton. The unit returns to factory settings whenthe Reset button is pressed". There is nothing about how to recover if you don't have the security code, nor what state the unit is in if the anti-theft is set so if you suspect that, I would try resetting with the reset button first.

Also see page 8 where it reads how to turn the screen on, but I would assume you already knew that.
