i have a Zalman CNPS9500 cpu cooler that connects to the motherboard by a 3pin cable.
recently i purshased an asus maximus motherboard that uses a 4 pin cable connecter!
is there a way i can connect the 3 pin cable to the 4 pin on the motherboard?

thanks in advanced.

yeah. just put it into the 4-pin so that the little clip aligns with the 3-pin connector. The 4-pin is just PWM fan, so you might lose fan control so you'll have to use the Zalman Fanmate which comes with their HSF.

PWM fans are stupid because 3-pin fan headers have been able to control RPM via the BIOS for years.
