I was looking at the Silencer and I think they're really nice fans IIRC. Would this fit on my XFX 6600GT PCI-E? What are some alternatives?

Isn't that the one for cpu's? The vf700 is for the gpu.

Maybe that's what he meant. Anyways, I have a vf700cu, and here's my thoughts:

pros:
exellent cooling ability
quiet operation in both high/low settings
quality of construction
fits inside the rectangular area of the gfx card

cons:
it's heavy
fan speed is not easy to adjust - i usually just leave it on high and OC to the max

Overall, I'm happy with it.

If I get the VF700-CU or ALCU, would it make my videocard bulkier than it already is? I have a SFF and I don't want to have it too big that it covers the only PCI slot. Also, could I simply use Artic Ceramique Thermal Compound on the GPU instead of what they give me?
