Seems I never have enough of those, "push pins", since i use them to attach heatsinks on my north an southbrige on my mobos.
And I use them for adding better cooling to graphics cards too.

Anyone know where i can just order a bunch of these pins?
(please tell me newegg has them and im just overlooking them. ;) )

Also, wouldnt mind finding some good bga ramsinks and some good "QUIET" gpu coolers.

looking to replace stock hsf's on a 9700 pro, 9500 pro, GF3 Ti200 and a GF2 Ultra.

Hey, a million thanks for digging this thread up and posting a link for those little push pins.

Those lil buggers are hard to find. ;)

Those don't work very well with VGA coolers in my experience. They're used more for mounting case fans in chassis or grills on fans. Have you checked your local hardware store? You can simply use small, thin bolts with matching nuts. Those cardboard "rings" that come with your motherboard mounting screws can be used to with nut to prevent scratches to the PCB.

Brian48,
Good idea, actually, I have used plastic screws that came with a Koolance kit b4 that worked well also.

It just strikes me as really strange that I can't find any of those ones with the center pin that pulls out with the spring on the outer pin, that are used on most video cards.

You'd think someone would carry them available seperately without needing to buy a hsf to get them.

I was just assuming that i wasn't looking in the right places, now i guess not.
