So a little story while everyone enjoys their X1900's and 7900's I'm stuck in the stone age with my 'old' 7800GT built on the 'old' 110nm that is supposively not as cool running as 90nm, but now that I moved back home for a few months with the parents while school is out suddenly my order for a VF900 is cancelled. I thought I had a crappy 7800 or that my overclock was pushing my card too hard as I'd idle around 48C and load up to nearly 70C depending on the game.

But now I see it was just the fact that I had crappy ventilation around my comp up there, now back home with the computer in the basement with lots of room to move air and an ambient temp of about 15-16C my old GT is running idle at 36C :Q Oblivion and RTHDRIBL loaded me up to about 62C and I even managed to bump a few more mhz out of the core now she's stable at 526/1225 RivaTuner reporting fan running at 35% on idle, it's barely a whisper :D

I just hope my next apartment will have temps and good ventilation but I doubt it.....ahh well I'll enjoy the temperatures while I can :D
