Aftermarket cooler for 9600GT

Looking for an aftermarket cooler that'll fit on the 9600GT not sure if any that say 8800GT will fit anyone have any recommendations for which I could use for an SLI config?

You could just get a pair of MSI 9600GTs that already have a Zalman-esque cooler on them. It'd save a ton of money in the long run and give great results still.

However, if you strictly don't want MSI, get the cheapest cards you can find and put a pair of Zalman VF900s on them. Quiet and efficient.

Already have the cards, not MSI, but two 9600 GTs with stock coolers picked em up for 125 after MIR sooo curious as to what to put on them?

Zalman VF900. They're not very big and very quiet as I said above.

I'm not sure how it is for the 9600gt, probably about the same...but I like the coolers that expel heat out of the side of the case. Unfortunately, Arctic cooling stopped making the silencers for new cards around the time when the x1900 series was the rage. By the time thermaltake came out with a ripoff of the silencer for that kind of card, it was near the end of its life.

Same problem with my 8800GT. You can mod the card to fit the TT ND1, but I just ended up buying a silencer5 rev3 off ebay that should fit.

This is the card you want then. I have the very same card and it is a performance beast.
