After years of waiting new HT system

We moved into our new house last month so now that we have the room I get to have the new music/movie system. This system is all about music first and movies second with high WAF. Was at rocky mountain audio fest this weekend and ordered my mains.

These use 2x 12" Eminence drivers with one being coaxial with a 1" compression driver. Amazing sound for the price.

For music I want a full range sound and the M4's have an F3 of ~45Hz so in order to get ~25Hz from my mains I will be implementing dual 10" subs each placed behind each speaker integrated with a minidsp active crossover for time alignment.

I will also be adding full room correction in the form of dirac live and the minidsp DDRC-88A unit.

The rears are going to be Magnepan MMGW as they can hide on the wall and can tilt toward the listening position when being used. Will be using a phantom center.

Since the 2x Ultimax 10's will be integrated as part of the L/R channels, for movies I will be providing more LFE by having 2x Ultimax 12 subs in the corners hiding behind a recliner and a sectional.

All the speakers and subs will be powered my multiple Crown XLS amps all installed in a closet along with the minidsp equipment. Only thing that will be visible will be the Marantz SR5009 receiver in the TV stand. List of all gear:

The marantz and dirac live unit will see the Spatials and the Ultimax 10's as one pair of speakers because of the 2x4 active crossover unit.

Rear L/R
source -> marantz -> ddrc-88a -> xls 1500 -> mmgw

LFE
source -> marantz -> ddrc-88a -> xls 2500 -> ultimax 12's

Ohh yeah and the TV is a Sony XBR X850C 55inch. I have been planning this system for months so we shall see how it turns out.

I have a 4K TV. OLED is expensive and doesn't look any better than a properly calibrated regular 4K set.

With that said, you don't have to fib about stuff just to make yourself feel better. This statement:

is COMPLETELY false. Completely. An OLED TV has a black level that no LED can compete with, well not unless it's a FALD with thousands of zones (aka something that is only found in R&D labs). You simply cannot configure a LED to compete with a OLED, just like a calibrated LED could never compete with the top plasmas. LED technology is simply inferior.

No reason to be insecure about it though, I don't have an OLED either because they are expensive. There is such a thing as good enough.

I have seen only one OLED 4K at the store. A singular one. It was LG and it was $7000 in best buy's magnolia room. Magnolia advertises that their stuff is all pro calibrated and whatnot and like I said, it did not blow me away making all other 4K LCDs look like crap.

Why should I feel insecure? I am just stating from I have seen with my own eyes. If I was dropping that kind of cash I would much rather have a 4K laser projector.
