The most amazing scene is seeing the Great White shark jumping into mid-air to snatch the seal.

Unquestionably
That just shows you how amazing nature is in a nut-shell.

I was somewhat skeptical of all the people telling me how amazing it was, but I've now watched the first 4 episodes on HD-DVD and yeah, it really is that good. Amazing the amount of work that must have gone into it.

Amazing eh? I had Planet Earth parties every Sunday night. Picture 8 dudes with beers in their hands watching Planet Earth with the lights off. Yeah, say what you want, it was awesome.

That series had some absolutely amazing moments in it. In the final episode there are dolphins that use sonar to drive tiny bait fish into groups so they can eat them better. The bait fish freak out, and start moving upwards, allowing the dolphins to drive them towards the surface. Knowing that the dolphins do this, a large flock of sea birds come down, and start diving hundreds of feet down to grab the bait fish that are rushing up towards them. The bait fish get stuck between the dolphins below and the sea birds above and are effectively decimated by the thousands. It's stunning photography to see a bird moving through a blue background (which leads you to assume it's flying), then seeing a fish float by above the bird. Totally surreal.

I loved this series except the polar bear one.

Ha ha, baboons in the water walk like Johnny Depp!

The Shark jumping out of the water to eat the seal was nutts... I though the Killer whales playing with their "food" was even more awesome though. Man they were launching those seals into the air like 40-50 feet!

They had a behind the scene look at how they film after the first 5 episodes, took them a few months to film a few minutes of footage.

Yeah i remember watching it on Discover HD Theatre. After the episode was over they would spend like 5-10 mins showing the behind the scenes footage for that episode. It's crazy the amount of patience the filmmakers have.

...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I just ordered the Attenborough version
Honestly Sigourney screwed it for me a little, watching it with Attenborough will be like watching it for the first time.
