I have only JUST started figuring out that the "last posted" feature can be very useful.

Now, in order to check and see if there's been a new post to a thread I recently posted on, I look there and see. If my name is still there, I know I had the last post, hence, I don't click the link.

If you are interested in the thread enough to revisit it, why not just subscribe to the thread and let the system notify you if somebody posts in it.

you know those two arrows next to the page numbers? those will take you to the end
