After three weeks of walking/bumming rides, I have a car again. . .

Just bought it. Hopefully a good deal. Some will laugh cause it is a wagon, but hey I'm getting older and have a kid and all.

I got a 99 Taurus SE Wagon with 91,000 miles on it - 1 owner - perfect paint - no scratches, dings, engine leaks, nothing negative I could find.

He wanted 3300 for it.

I played the broke guy and coughed up 2860 - he took it.

Seems like I did pretty good. The interior is sweet, AC works, CD player works, etc. . .all the electric stuff works.

Really, I am broke most of the time, so I hope it lasts me a couple of years at least without major trouble.

That's great. Used domestics can be a sweet deal. And if anybody laughs because it's a wagon, ask how those gas prices are treating them when they fill up their SUV--with similar useful interior space to many SUVs and 30-50% better mileage at today's prices, it's nothing to laugh about.
