After system was halt, it takes 10 minutes to startup

Hi,

Just did a fresh install of Winxp pro.
It was like within 1 minute from bios pop up..
however, i remember i was copying files back to my drive from a notebook...
the system was halt(crashed), the screen locks but the files still kept on transfering. I let it finish.

Now it takes 10 minutes to load windows(till i see the desktop)
wow, anyone knows what is holding it?

 
It's a fresh install, just try another Repair Installation. It will keep all your programs except for the XP updates and activation. If the problem persists, try a full re-installation. I'm quite sure you can try pin pointing the source of the problem without re-installation but that will take as much as time if not more.
