I actually seemed to have this same problem from a previous reformat/reinstall, however, this time it actually mattered..
I just reformatted the other day, and transferred over music/pictures/videos/documents I was saving over to my 80gig backup drive. (I need to get a bigger drive... lol) After the reformat, the only thing I could read was the folder that I had put all of the new files I had just copied over.
EVERYTHING on the drive previously, the files visible and file sizes confimable, were unable to be read. I'm out of town right now, but I believe the error was that access was denied.
Any ideas how to get my data to be readable again?
