After POST, nothing happens

Uh..
After POST (CPU, memory check, HDD and CDROM detection) I hear the normal "beep" that the post is over..(pretty normal upto this point)
Then nuthing happens! 😱 (not a beep, or unusal behaviour)
Computer curser just sits there.. blinking..(keyboard doesn't work ofcourse..)
I changed the setting to boot from floppy.. but still nuthing happens!
Can't get it to boot..
What could be the cause of this problem?

Here is what I did..
I changed some jumpers with a screw driver..(bus clock and multiplier setting) on the board to see what happens 🙂 Nothing too radical.. in fact, the motherboard recognised the cpu as a lower speed one after beeping a few times... Before I see the result (before POST finishes), I rebooted and changed it back to normal, so I can't be sure that that was the reason..
I also unplugged the Harddrive power cord then plugged back.
Umm.. I removed harddisk controller from windows menu.. but that can't be the reason.. can it?

man, you seem to have really been tinkering inside your box! :Q
are you sure you took adequate anti-static precautions?
can only suggest you try resetting your cmos as a first line of troubleshooting!

How do I reset the cmos??
And about the anti-static.. I don't know.. maybe I did.. can't really remember. 🙁

there may be a pair of jumpers or solder points to short on your m/board to reset the cmos. look in your m/board handbook as m/boards vary. turn the power off first before opening your case!
alternatively remove the m/board battery for a few minutes & then replace it!
again, turn the power off first.
