After markets HSF for 478

Alot of people use after market HSF for better cooling of the cpu which one do you all reccommend for the northwood 478. Ps do you use the Artic silver 5 as thermal paste of choice

I had a bad experience with a cheap s478 Speeze cooler that didn't even make proper contact with my cpu (led to constant overheating) so I'd avoid them, at least their cheap models.

The thermalright heatsinks are built to have standard case fans put on them, so you buy the heatsink and then a good quality fan, and they become awesome coolers. I have the XP-120 now, and that thing takes a 120mm fan on it. This is now believed (by many) to be the best s478 cooler around atm, and the good thing is that 120mm fans are nice and quiet too. I'd highly recommend it. Only thing is it's probably the most expensive cpu air cooler around too. Also, the size can end up being too much for some motherboards and cases, so you might want to check that out first. I own a P4P800 Deluxe in a CM Stacker so it fits fine.

Hey DE whats happening thanks for the info AGAIN lol is it hard to put a 120mm fan on that thing also what brand of fan do you have i heard someone say something about a tornado what brand is that? ps if that gaming bomb 2 doesnt come out soon im taking your advice and going for the stacker. ps is you asus board a 875 or 865 do you have any problems or concerns with it

ps dumb question but is the fan blowing air onto the cpu or is it meant to blow hot air of it
