I have one of the original IS7 mobos with the first gen cooler. A friends system with an IC7 had the NB cooler die, so I gave him mine (since I wasn's using the board). Can someone link me up with a good replacement for the crappy original NB cooler? I'm going to order a few so I have them on reserve. Thanks!

The Zalman's are great for passive solutions if you have good air flow in the case link and the copper Vantec iceberg works great as a active northbridge cooler link I used the Iceberg active cooler on a nF2 IGP board and even with the IGP G4 MX's core overclocked@260mhz, the vdd@1.8v and 400DDR it kept it cool and stable.

I'm using the Thermaltake Tiger 1 also and it works well. The temps are only slightly less than the original but there were just to many issues with the original fans when these boards came out so I switched.

If you like, I'll ship you mine. I got a Zalman passive cooler for Christmas and the stock Abit HSF is just sitting in a baggie. You'll have to provide your own metal clip, since I reused it, but other than that, it only has a few weeks use. :)

Thanks, but I went ahead and ordered a few from newegg.

Did any of you remove the thing from around the edge of the NB? There's like a "padding" to protect the NB core from the pressure of the heatsink. I'm thinking it's worthless.

I need to know this:
