I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4.0L and when I got back home from a short vacation with my camper (about 4K), I backed it into its spot, shut it off while I unhitched the trailer, and when I went to start it and pull the vehicle away, it was sputtering heavily like it was about to completely stall out. Sounded terrible for the 10 or so seconds it was on until I parked it. When I started it again to go into work last nite and this morning it was fine. What would cause that? The vehicle has only 84K on it and I take VERY good care off it. It was about a 200mi trip and it was about 90 degrees on the way home but it performed great all the way home, just happened at the end of the trip. Could it be an elevation thing? We were in Gettysburg PA which is about 230ft ASL and home is on the Jersey shore which of course is about sea level.
