After leaving my computer on for a day.....PF usage jumps to 1.5GB

Memory leak?
Trojan/Worm?
Not a clue.

All I know is that VSMon is taking up more than 400K of memory usage. And yeah, I'm running the default XP theme. Does limewire cause any memory leaks? Becuase the 2nd largest program is limewire, taking up well over 100K of memory usage.

If I restart, it's fine at 300mb-ish for about a day...but I hate restarting my computer every once in a while.

Any hints?

Are you sure it wasn't doing a virus scan? Zonealarm has set dates on when to do virus scans. I was having this same issue that VSMON was taking up a lot of memory and CPU. Turns out that it was doing a virus scan. After the scan finished, it went back to normal.

Well it must have been doing a virus scan. You need to turn off the set dates for Zone alarm. Otherwise, it'll keep doing the scans without you knowing.
