After installing J++, I get all these runtime errors with Explorer

After I installed Microsoft Visual J++, I've been getting a lot of runtime erors that say:

A Runtime Error Has Occured
Do you with to Debug?

Line: 41
Error: "Ad" is Undefined

And it's not limited to just that sort of message. I seems to occur on sites were javascript has been used. I've tried re-installing J++, as I thought I might have missed something during the install... but to no avail. Is there anyway where I can stop these annoying "popups"?

J++ is really old, it probably installed a really old JVM with it. I would remove J++, well technically I wouldn't install J++ in the first place =)

go to tools, internet options, advanced tab

uncheck the "display a notification about every script error" option

restart IE

I tried that... found out that it wasn't checked in the first place.

Did you also select "Disable script debugging"?
