after install 256 ddr can't play CS, RTCW??????

just grabbed another 256 ddr from CC and installed, heres my spec

amd 1700
ecs k7s5a
512 ddr(2 x 256)
60 gig
kyroII
sb 5.1

with 256 mb ram...i played fine, but last nite i installed another stick every seems fine(nothing wrong with opening other programs) untill i try to play the game
when i try to open the games, i get black screen and the sounds are all breaking up
can someone help me? is the stick something wrong? or is the MB can't handle it?

You tried each ram on it`s own?... so take one stick out and see if it boots and runs the games,then do the same thing with the other ram module.

i have 512 DDR ram and when i used to play CS it worked fine on me. Yes, try the combination of using each ram on its own.

Sounds like bad ram, do what the other said and try them on their own. I've seen problems like this before, but only when one dimm was bad.
