After i leave LAN parties . . . .

I just went to a lan this weekend, and i just shut of my pc and unplugged it from the network and went home. Now that i have my computer at home, it takes forever to boot up into windows. It posts fine, but it hangs for maybe 2 to 3min until it finally loads windows. IT almost seems that it is looking for the network, and then timing out. Is there a setting i can change so that my cp wont look for a network, or is this even the problem?? Anyone have any suggestions???

I guess u'r not using a DHCP server to get on the internet.
Set manually the ip address of your NIC instead of letting it obtain it automatically. That way the OS won't wait for an answer from a DHCP server before finally giving up and setting an ip for the NIC.
