I literally never had this problem with any computers in my life until a couple months ago when I put my voodoo 5500 in, on the exact same rig I was using before with my geforce and radeon video card.
now most of the time this problem happens when I try to go online in certain games like unreal tournament and starcraft. But other games can work fine for hours fine on the net.
I use @home cable and was wondering if maybe I should use their proxy? I now have a fresh install of win98se with only 1 set of voodoo drivers with the default settings.
Some other games though at a time like giants and alice were doing the same thing, all lights on computer on and black screen.
my bios says after a reboot after playing games for a while the cpu temp is 49 degrees and the fans all appear to be working.
I assume its the cpu or video card or net connection but hell if I know I just thought I would post again since a fresh install didn't help. maybe somebody got the same symptoms or something?
