Got my 360 last Christmas. Playing Call of Duty 2 tonight, it locked up a couple times, then gave me the RRoD.

MS phone support, despite a very thick accent, was good. They're sending me a shipping box.

Just wondering what type of console people are receiving back. I'm pretty sure they don't send your own xbox back to you. It would definately be a pleasant surprise to get a Falcon back with an HDMI port.

I was told 3-4 week turnaround. Is that typical?

2-4 weeks is typical. In threads here and over at ArsTechnica people are still getting refurbs back with the original, flawed, non-HDMI motherboard with with an extra heatsink slapped on. 🙁

Hopefully the refurb they send will at least last you until the supply of old refurbs is used up, so if it dies too you'll finally get a Falcon.

Took my coworker 17 days total a few weeks ago. He got a different model with a vastly quieter DVD drive.

My launch Xbox 360 (manufacturer date is in 2005) is still holding on! Sadly, I know it's not a question of "if" but of "when".
