after adding ram, computer fan noise louder

Never heard of this one before. I have an HP Pavilion m9100z desktop. After adding 2x2 gigs of ram, my dang computer is noticeably louder. I'm not sure what fan(s) are causing this. I am running Vista 64 bit. I now have 6 gigs of ram. Kinda pisses me off since I value a quiet rig. Oh, btw, my new ram is made by STT. Anyone know why this may have happened?
