in the past 12 months, I've gained about 25 lbs and really fallen apart.

Today, I got on the exercise bike and rode for 10 minutes, burning 75 calories in the process. Now my body is not feeling too great, but it's a start.

Any tips for getting back on the wagon?

Jog. Jogging is all you need. Jog everyday as far as you possibly can every time. You'll be back in shape in 3 months.

google for that "couch potato to 5-mile-per-day running" page. it's a good read, even if you don't wanna run 5 miles every day.

Find an excercise/movement that you really like, and keep with it. Jogging? Ballroom dancing? Sword fighting? Moose hunting? Whatever turns you on.

Good luck.

start to swim.

if you are worried about your joints degenerating at all because of the stress of jogging.

however walking is actually better for you to burn calories than jogging because you can get enough oxygen while jogging running.

there is a lot of information to back me up on that though also.
