I can finally post here! For some reason anandtech says an aol.com account is not "a real email address" and I figured paying for a new email service to use the forums was a bit much. But with my school tuition I get a new address. . . just thought I might voice my oppinion that this policy is foolish. . .but that im glad to finally be able to use this forum!

It may be foolish in your eyes, but this blockage is in place for a very good reason.

And this good reason is the fact that trolls, trouble & pain in the *a word here*'s crawl AOL. As quoted from the Forum FAQ's:
In addition to the above, all of AOL's system is banned from the forums; this includes their IP addresses. This means that even if you sign up with a different E-mail address, you will not be able to post if you connect to the internet using their service.

If you read clearly in the Forum FAQ's you cannot post even if connected via the AOL service. I take it that means at home you cant post either 😉

Exactly why I hated going to the parent's house for christmas break. However, I convinced them to get cable.🙂

Im working on the not-so good friends now. Takes to long to send nasty files to them on Messenger  muhahaha
