This is why I hate those people who get mad they can't squeeze an extra 2.5 FPS or 30 poits in 3dmark and they are bitching how their 3ghz P4c isn't up to par....

And wow - you seroius that you can actually capture video with that system? What are we talking? 320*240? 640*480 😉

Or is it a dedicated MPEG2 encoder that will let you record at insane bitrates ?
 
Capturing at VCD resolution at 6000kB/s works just fine. Then re-encode to 1055kB/s (I think VCD standard was something like that).
Re-encoding takes forever. Roughly 7 - 8 fps.

I was using a ATi TV Wonder VE. But I screwed up the drivers. Was trying some special driver that would enable some extra features and I can't get rid of the drivers now so the original ones doesn't install correctly now.

Gotta pay off the road bike I just built before there will be any upgrades.
