Didn't know they were that dominant in college football. Think the coach will be fired after this season?

Dominant in football???????? Their players are put on a higher pedestal than NFL stars are. Their teams could probably beat most NFL teams. Their fans are fanatics about the Huskers football. The football stadium is the "second largest city" in the state on a Saturday. There are Husker fans weeping and forming lynch mobs as we speak.

Wish I could just cry one tear for them, but I can't. 3 years of that insanity was enough for me.

You lost me with that statement. How many Husker QB's went on to star in the NFL? How many RB's and Wide Receivers?

I'm sure theyll bounce back in the next couple of weeks with their tough schedule against Radcliffe and Williams School for the blind. It's good to see them choking on cupcakes.

I want what he is smoking.

In 21 years they only won 2 national championships (and that was even in back to back years). Huskers were 49-31-1 against ranked teams.

Yeah they could beat most NFL teams, lol.

Red, how many Husker alumnis are playing in the NFL. Their quarterbacks were very solid in passing and in running. DISCLAIMER: I am not a Husker fan.

Their fans are fanatics about the Huskers football.

Hmm...I was reading the Husker boards on omaha.com and it was reported that many Husker fans left the stadium yesterday at the start of the 4th quarter and some screamed and cursed at the Husker players as they made their ways into the locker rooms.....

Yeah, when the huskers lose, the entire state gets depressed. Personally, comming from minnesota, this whole mindset makes me ill. Bad mouthing the huskers in a sports bar on a game day can end up with you on a missing person's report. :disgust:

<---in Nebraska.

Forget about Nebraska sucking. Give some credit to the Iowa State Cyclones. They've got a great team this year.

Hell yeah we do ;) The Cyclones played a great game on Saturday. They didn't get excited and just played a real solid defence. The offence was pretty good too, but the reason we won is because our defence didn't allow Nebraska to get going. Seneca Wallace is one of the best QBs we've had in years. Of course the fact that this year Nebraska couldn't play their way out of a paper bag didn't hurt any :)

the option doesn't work in the nfl, defenses are far too fast. the reason it works in college is because college defenses aren't near the calibre nfl defenses are. nebraska would get its ass handed to it.

This makes me happy, I've lived in Nebraska for the past 12 years and I hate the Huskers. I hope they lose more games.

Mr. Heisman Eric Crouch. 'nuff said.
How many Heisman winners do well in the NFL period? Remember Gino Toretta?
