The HR rep for the company I work for informed me that an Aflac representative will be visiting us next Thursday afternoon and I was told that even though I'm about 25 years old that I should consider getting some other supplemental insurance. The main thing they offer is life (which I don't think I really need right now), but there's also disability insurance, and other types that tie into problems if I were to be sick or injured with my salary.

To a ny of you that know about this kind of stuff, what do you recommend I apply for?

Disability insurance covers you if you are injured AND are unable to do jobs described in the policy. Some policies specify your own job, others specify "any" job ( so if you can flip burgers you're not getting anything).
It also won't go into effect until a certain time period has passed, anywhere from days to months (the longer this exclusion period, the cheaper the policy). They generally cover around 60-70% of your salary.
It can be a good thing to have, but you should do more research for yourself too.
