Did he ever go outside his capital though? I don't recall him taking a step out of Kabul. What a joke.

Is he smoking crack. I think the commander of US forces in Afghanistan said the Taliban was becoming an increasing problem less than a month ago.

I think he means well..but all estimates I have seen is that it will take years to establish any real central governmetn outside of Kabul and an as yet undetermined time to cursh the remains of the Taliban and Al Qaeda. If the Taliban have been defeated why is Karzai still gaurded by American bodyguards? He can't trust his own forces to do the job.

Don't worry. Rumor has it the US military is planning a spring offensive to take the fight to the Taliban and Al Qaeda. It will be great seeing those bastards run.

The afghan goverment is getting stronger as well and its military is growing.
