Hi,
I'm thinking of replacing my aging Linksys WRT54GL router (with thibor firmware)with one that supports Wireless N and Gbe standards.
I have 2 PCs on Ethernet, a laptop on wireless and 2 Android phones (a HTC Desire and Desire Z, both support Wireless N but not sure if they support the 5GHz band) when I'm home, which is a 3 floor concrete/brick house. Most computing will only be done on the 2nd floor where the router will be.
I don't game anymore so it's just for torrents and surfing the web. I hear a lot about DD-WRT/tomato firmware and how they're much better than any stock firmware. What exactly sets them apart?
Finally, any recommendations given my home and requirements?
Thanks.
