Affordable RAM for DFI Lanparty?

I am looking for 1GB of affordable RAM for this setup:

DFI Lanparty 250Gb
A64 3400+ Newcastle

Bear in mind that I have NO interest in OC'ing. I just don't have the time to mess around with it that much and need something that will run stable at stock speeds. I am also wondering if I should get 1x1Gb or 2x512. My thought is that I could get the 1x1Gb and have room for expansion in the future, especially since timings aren't so important to me.

Any suggestions?

One DIMM generally runs best on S754. Just get a one gig stick of value RAM from Corsair or Mushkin.

there was another thread covering this issue just a short time ago so try the search function. However, I have the same setup with a 3400 and I'm running a gig of Corsair Value Select just fine.

Get value ram.

Corsair and Mushkin make great value ram.
I have 2 Mushkin 512's in my rig and they arent bad overclockers if you decide to try ocing 😀

He has no intrest in oc'ing so 1 DIMM would just be more money for no o/c benifits.

Get 2x512mb of Corsair Value or Mushkin.

Heh, I wasn't even thinking about OC ability....

1x1024 if expansion is imminent, 2x512 if not, then.

Hey i have the exact same thing, i use 2x512 sticks of Corsair and it works awesome. PC3200 by the way.

Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like I will be going with 2x512 of Corsair VS. From what I understand, most games don't benefit from anything over 1Gb.
