Hi,

i finally made the decision to order a Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R due to its good reviews at ocbench and the ddr 2 and ddr 3 compatibility.
It's a pity my budget doesn't follow my enthusiasm so I would like to ask a tip on which processor is the most interesting for now while future upgrades are in the pipeline :)
Tips on a good cpu cooler are welcome too!

Thanks
Bram

I hate it when a PC build gets out of hand....I gave up trying to budget out a build years ago...I never could follow a budget.

Processor wise, it depends on how much you want to speed really, but for the Budget overclocker the E4x00 series are awesome, some much bang for such a little amount of cash.

as for a good cooler, the Tuniq Tower 120 is pretty good, although if you can stretch the budget....quite a bit, water cooling is the way to go.

I hear the Q6600 will be $266 later this summer. That is what I am waiting on.

For now, I would go for an e6420. Run ya about 180, but it will OC to whatever you want pretty much and when you decide to upgrade later, it will not be worthless.

I say go for Penyrn Quad Core and Arctic Freezer Pro 7.

That cooler is a beast at half the cost of the competition.
