Can currently check work email on my phone but they are changing over to requiring Afaria. Anybody have experience running this on their phone? Is it a battery hog, does it change any behavior, what info does it log and send back if any?

I don't need to check work email on my phone so if it is going to kill my phone I'll just go without.

sounds like it's one of the 50 other apps that keep your email in an encrypted bubble instead of letting you access it through the email app

if it's anything like "good" enterprise email, it's terrible...good luck.

I would not load any software on my phone from a company who's idea of a support forum is usenet newsgroups. http://www.sybase.com/support/community-forums

Basically the guy with the power to delete your phone remotely has no idea how the product works and has no way to find out.

Blast from the past.

I ended up just taking work email off my phone not worth turning over that level of control just to be a little more efficient. Now that I haven't had it for a few months it has been quite nice, didn't realize how much it let work creep into my outside of work time.
