AF 8x and AF 16x?

Is there any IQ/performance difference between the two settings? I am asking because a lot of benchmarks show AF8x/AF16x when doing the eye candy benchmark.

There is a little IQ increase and a little performance decrease. I don't think it's worth it.

That is becuase some older cards don't do x16af.
