Hi guys, a month a go a bought an Aero 7 CPU Cooler. It has been working fine untill a few days ago when I started to notice a change on its sound. It gets louder for a few seconds and then goes back to normal, so it is not very stable. By checking with MBM I can see the change on speed from 2500 which is where I have it set down to 2100 rpms.

I have a Soyo KT400 Ultra (Platinum) and 460W Enermax PS. I didn't have this problem before with other HSs I had on it. Anybody else having this same problem with this HS?

Thanks
Grano

My TT Vol 11 does that too but I know it has an active rpm system that boots the rpm when the cpu heats up. I thought I had disabled it during the install but I guess not. Not sure what is going on with your fan however, does it have something simular?

Mine is manual, so I can adjust the rpms to whatever I want. That's why the rpms should be consistant I think, but they are not.

hmmm that's wierd ... I will look around ... if I find anything I will post it ASAP ..

could it be any chance that your PS is going funny? Try hooking a multi meter up to the fan and wait and see what is going on with the voltage.

they are all ok ... don't go crazy a 1/2 ok one is fine. you don't need 1/2 the settings they come with anyway so just get a cheaper one.

you might have thermal portection enabled which makes it go at a faster speed while the CPU heats up and when it is idle or so what it slows down check if your bios/options
