From my newspaper today:

"Aeon Flux... opens in theaters today, but don't look for any reviews. Its studio decided not to hold advance screenings for film critics. Such a decision usually denotes that the studio... thinks the film is a dud."

Ill go see it. I expect typical hot chick action flick. Boobs, special effects, terrible lines, mediocre story. Anything more would make it worth the $4.25

so has anyone seen it yet? i have been waiting for this movie for almost 10 years and now i am going to see it expecting it to suck.

No intention of seeing it. It looks HORRBILE from all the previews. Like, mid 70's sci-fi horrible.
 
i saw it.. it wasnt bad for the price i paid (matinee).

the beginning was good. the last 1/3 was eh

wish charlize dressed as skimpy as the cartoon version of aeon
 
Just saw it tonite...very weird movie. I guess I'm just not familiar with the comics though (and only watched a few episodes of the MTV series a long time ago.)

It had a feel like it was done by the same director who did "The Cell"...lots of weird biological weaponry and colorful costumes (not complaining about Aeon's pajamas though...nice!!!) The highlight of the movie was the set design and imagery though...the story just sort of plodded along. Not a lot of character development, so anyone who isn't a major fan would feel disconnected from the whole thing.

I give it a 4/10 on the whole I guess. Wouldn't want to see it again but I don't demand my money back either.
