Is the performance difference with the V2 big enough to make it worth shelling out the extra cash? Thx.:D

The dynos show better gains. Personally I prefer CAI's to V2's (depending on car, the V2 may not be a CAI but a short-ram type system)

Go cheap... drilling some strategic holes into the air box should do well enough for what you need combined with a high flow drop-in K&N. Even a simple cone filter will give you the majority of the gains the AEM should give.

Nut is right... Honda's done a very good job with the RSX intake and exhaust already. There isn't too much power left to be extracted with the standard I/E/H upgrade path.

I said that? I think what I said was that there's not a huge difference between the two systems. The dynos show they're pretty close. I'd just go with the cheaper one.

Unless you live in Cali in which case you're paying for it being smog legal.

And to the doubters, intakes on the K series are pretty effective. Let me see if I can dig up some dyno charts.

V2 Dyno Comparison

CAI Dyno Comparison

I can't help but gawk at those numbers and think 'inflated numbers'. It is from the company, too.

hell yeah ported air box. free mods are awesome. however, it lacks the bling of a real intake :(

Yeah, it does lack the bling. But, when you clean it and use dressing on it, it does look pretty good:)

Just use the money you saved to buy a nice gold chain... you can now bling everywhere you go!

I cut the plastic barrier out of my airbox, the butt dyno says it helped performance a tad:) Not so much on the low end but at speed definetely. How can you say that a CAI won't help performance? The stock intake on my car draws air out of the hot engine compartment.

I have a ghetto modded factory airbox on my k series powered accord. I don't feel any difference in power, but going to the dragstrip says I picked up 2.5 mph in trap speed which is supposed to be pretty significant.
