I'm willing to costumize it more, maybe lower the price a little so I would apreciate some thoughts and directions.

My wife is a student, so word processing, powerpoint, internet, no gaming.
I'm going to college this fall, so word processing, occasional gaming, internet.
Thanks for replying d2arcturus

Don't buy RAM from Dell. Get the bare minimum and upgrade from Newegg (Transcend branded RAM). Choose the best chip speed for your budget, 1.6 should be fine for most gaming but faster is always better.

lower the memory and buy some memory sticks from newegg.com instead. It will save u alot of money.

Second what everyone else said.

I assume #1 is for you? Looks to be a solid config that will game half decently. I emphasive HALF, and be a great general purpose machine.

Make sure you get a coupon too!

Yeah, maybe I should get a Latitude D810 with a X600 and 2GHZ proc. I don't know, the difference in price is huge, is it worth it?
About the RAM, that everybody here recommended me, it's kind of complicated. I don't live in US, but I'm ordering on the US site and use a friend's address for shipping and I don't want to take advantaje of his kindness and ask him to receive and send other stuff. Where I live, the memory prices are double so it would be better to stick to Dell, or maybe you have other ideas?
I spoke with a dell distributor here and gave a price for a D810 - 2405$ (keep in mind that I cannot use any coupon).
