Hi
new to the cdrw scene.Would like some help on cd media.have the ultraplex X40+ plexwriter 12/4/32.I have noticed that in the R variety there are like 2 types for audio and data is it nessasary to get some of each????,that seems like a pain.In the cdrw department i haven`t noticed anything relating to X12, are they out there?.Also while i`m at it,is there any programmes out there that you can use to backup your data, full and incremental without having to mess around in the dos enviroment:::: runnning 1 machine with win98se and 1 machine with win 2000 on a home lan.I hope you can help this confused person lol, thanks :D

Hi,
No one type would work for both. In SOME cases (although I have not seen them myself) if you have a 84 min disk - that woukd NOT work in some of the older CD players (regular ones - not your rom-drive in the computer).

There are softwares which do a backup but I don't know of one which can "automatically" back up things to your cd say once a week.

If you just wanna back up your hard disk check out DriveImage from Powerquest - it is one of the best proggy's I have ever used.

Hope this helps :)

Amit.
