Hi All,
I'm building a new system as below. I need a ~$100 case to bring my price down. Do you know any quality cases around that price?

$226 - Intel Core i5 760 CPU
$179 - Asus P7P55D-E Intel P55 ATX Motherboard
$100 - G.Skill Ripjaw Series F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL 2 x 2GB DDR3 1600 RAM
$433 - GigabyteGV-N470OC-13I 470 gtx
$59 - Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
$95 - Antec NEO ECO 620C 620W PSU
Cooling system:
$94 - NoctuaNH-U12P-SE2

Hm. Where did you get that $433 price from for the 470? It's on Newegg for like $329.

Video card aside, there are a good amount of quality cases that cost around $100. Do you want a full tower, a mid tower, a mini tower? An aluminum case? A steel case? It'll help narrow your choices down.

yeah how come the 470 is so expensive? Should be getting a price drop soon too, might wanna hold out a week.

But for a <$100 case, the CM 690 II Advanced is probably your best bet. if you really wanna go lower and budget, you could get a 300, but you'd be really happy with the 690

+1 on the antec 900

i got mine for just under $100CAD for my first real build. tons of space, i would say mediocre in terms of wiring holes in my version. i think there was a revision with extra hole cutouts on the mobo tray for more wiring options, but i was still able to work around what i had and ended up with a pretty clean setup.

@petey
how does the CM 690 II compare to the 900? i, too, am looking for another case for an upcoming build around the $100 mark.

@kelloggs
to narrow it down, are you looking for a particular size, e.g. midtower? any particular features you need, like 4 usb ports or e-sata?

690II is the king at $60-80

Lots of room, fantastic cable management, room for 10 fans, black interior.

Hard pressed to find a better case for the money.
