I am at a crossroads so to speak... have my eye on the antec plus 1080 amg or even the plusview 1000amg but neither have the 120 mm fan mounts...is it possible to purchase mounts seperately and put them in either of these two cases

by the way...I come to this web site daily to catch up on all the info and discussion that is available...my hat is off to all of you who find time to give your opinions and help to fellow members...

thanks

No, not unless you have a dremel and want to hack up the case to make 120mm fans fit. Not exactly hard, but a pain the rear and it may not fit correctly with the case and look unproffesional.

def go with the antec... sleek, nice cases, reliable... go with them. trust me. get the silenx fans, 80mm, or the palanflos and you will MORE than sufficient airflow... just do it. 😉. oh, and in my opinion 1080>1000

thanks for the information... with that said, is the antec 430 an adaquate ps... (looking for quality here... will eventually overclock system) I have read that a quality ps needs to be able to support varies rails at the same time

Antec is one of the most respected power supply manufacturers out there and are known for building quality parts that last. 430 watts will be more than sufficient for most gamers' needs. It will adequately power a modern system, even with a top of the line video card. You will be happy with a 430 watt power supply from Antec.

I disagree, if he's OCing. Low flow 80mm fans just won't cut it.

TO address the power supply first: The antec truepower 430watt is one of the most trusted and used power supplies on the market. .. it is phenomally quiet... as it regulates its own fan speed dependent on usage... so when you idle it is near silent...

And in terms of the fans again - if you buy the correct heatsink for your CPU... which comes with another another fan on its own as it should - bringing the total count to 6. In order to circulate the rest of the hot air... 5 fans will be plenty.. and that is not including power supply fans... you have three sucking air in... 2 from the Hard drives... one from the side door blowing on the graphics card... and the two in the back will gladly suck all the hot air out along the PSU up top... you do not need giant fans or high blowing fans to overclock... this case is fantastic...

NOW, if you plan on MASSIVE overclocking, do not even attempt to air cool it. Water cool it. And in that case, this case is sufficiently large, heavy, and durable enough to support any watercooling kit you may choose... i know i planned on watercooling an antec plus 1080... but i havent sold my computer yet... i did quite a bit of research and i highly recommend this case. The only concern - buy new fans... www.silenx.com, or search for panaflos.

Best of luck

I don't see the word overclock anywhere in his post! I agree with Gnoad, perhaps an Antec Sonata would suit your needs. It includes a 120 mm fan and it is pretty good looking I think.

I think that depends on how agressive the overclock is.
