First, if you haven't already, get hold of a bunch of benchmarks and verify that your OC works as you intended. Otherwise, you should maybe check up on your BIOS and cooling.

Secondly, get a better videocard. This is a fairly safe investment, as long as the next MB you buy also has AGP.

Thirdly, what RAM are you using, and what does your MB support in this field and in way of CPU? Dual channel? FSB?

Edit: - Right, I'm really getting old. Now I can't read. "PC2700", right! Got it now. Well, that falls between being sure. I wouldn't do anything about the memory then. Hardly worth it.

If you dont play games at 1600 x 1200 and/or dont use AA/AF you dont have to really worry about getting a top of the line GPU. It seems the new Geforce 6600 series cards would be more than enough in this case.

In order for you to believe your system is more snappy, youd probably have to increase your CPU clock up to at least 3.0ghz. If you FSB were to be 200mhz or higher, your system would also feel more snappy.

If your games feel laggy at the resolution you are comfortable at playing, consider Geforce 6800GT as high end budget conscience, or 6600GT for value. If you are highly anticipating Halflife2 think ATI, but remember that there are no guarantees. As of now, ATI doesnt have a 200$ part that can compete with the Geforce 6600 series.
